Heat Transfer From A Pin Fin
Description The setup is designed to study the heat transfer in a pin fin. It consists of pin type fin with heater on one side. This pin is fitted on one side of the duct having a fan to conduct experiments under forced draft conditions. Air flow rates can be varied with control valve and measured with the help of orifice meter and Differential manometer. Digital Temperature Indicator measures temperature distribution along the fin. A Digital Temperature Controller is provided to have an automatic smooth control on required heat input to the heater as per user requirements. Further steady state of experiment is achieved in very less time as compared to manual control. Electronic energy meter is provided to measure the heat input.
To study temperature distribution along the length of fin in both Free & forced convection.
Comparison of theoretical temperature distribution with that of experimentally obtained distribution

An ENGLISH instruction manual consisting of experimental procedures, block diagram etc. will be provided along with the Apparatus.
The whole set-up is well designed and arranged on a rigid structure painted with industrial PU Paint.
